Istria in April

Join us on a 4-day wine adventure in Northern Istria, often compared to Italy’s Tuscany and Umbria. We'll explore local, family-owned, and renowned wineries together. Bonus: you're coming during asparagus season, and that never disappoints in Istria.

Itinerary

Day 1 (Thursday, April 16)

Optional airport pickup. Arrival to stanzia* between 10 and 12h, giving you time to settle in before we kick things off.

We'll start with lunch and introductions–to each other, to Istria, and to wine tasting.

In the afternoon, we're visiting our first winery: a family-owned Istrian gem producing some of the region's best Malvasia. We'll also take a stroll through the vineyards to see the grapes in their spring glory, still tiny and far from harvest, but beautiful nonetheless.

Dinner awaits at a local favorite that puts a modern spin on traditional Istrian cuisine.

After that? You've earned your rest. We'll head back to stanzia, where comfy beds await. Tomorrow, we will spoil our taste buds even more.

Day 2 (Friday, April 17)

A good breakfast is a must before today's wine tastings. And, who's brave enough to earn bragging rights with a cold morning plunge in the pool?

The village where we're staying is actually pretty adorable. We'll walk through it and the surrounding hills on our way to the morning's first tasting: olive oil. Trust us, this isn't your average grocery store drizzle—it's an experience you won't forget.

In the afternoon, we'll make a quick stop in the hilltop town of Grožnjan before heading to our next winery.

The evening is all ours at stanzia. We'll learn how to make pljukanci (traditional Istrian pasta) and, naturally, pair it with more local wine.

Day 3 (Saturday, April 18)

Breakfast and coffee to start the day, but no rush. Today we're taking it a bit slower, with time to relax at stanzia before heading out to the Motovun region for wine tasting and exploring the medieval hilltop town.

Tonight's dinner is at a family-run agriturismo, and it's the real deal: everything on your plate (and in your glass) is made or grown right there. No menu, no sodas, just authentic, homegrown Istrian hospitality.

It's also our last evening together, so we'll raise a glass, swap stories, and properly wrap up an unforgettable weekend.

Day 4 (Sunday, April 19)

We will enjoy an early and final breakfast together, before the checkout at 10.

Optional transfer to airport.
